What are the aims of this course?

The Level 1 qualification in Motor Vehicle Studies has been developed to provide you with a range of progression opportunities. This course will offer you an introduction to the motor vehicle industry and an insight into the career routes available. Once you've completed this course you'll have work-related skills, generic employability skills, the opportunity to go on to further training and a good insight in to the motor vehicle area.

What qualifications do I need to do this course?

New Entrants: 4 GCSE A* - E grades including English and maths and a successful admissions interview. Once on programme an aptitude and skills assessment will be completed to ensure you are enrolled on the appropriate course. Progressing students: Successful completion of the Entry Level 3 course and functional skills qualifications, and a minimum attendance of 75%

How is the course assessed?

The course will be assessed through question papers and a practical assessment

Successful completion of the Level 1 Diploma in Motor Vehicle Studies provides you with a sound preparation for further vocational training, such as continuing onto the Level 2 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Motor Vehicle Studies or appropriate Apprenticeship at Level 2 such as:
