On this course you will gain the practical skills you need for the pathway of your choice : Body Repair or Paint Operations.
This course has a predominately practical approach to assessment, and includes many visual techniques, oral questioning and on-line tests.

- Vehicle refinishing materials.
- Vehicle refinishing tools and equipment.
- Vehicle paint application and minor dent rectification.
What qualifications do I need to do this course?
No formal qualifications are required; however, you will need a positive attitude, commitment and self-motivation. The course is designed for school leavers who are able to work at a level that is equivalent to GCSE grades D-F
How is the course assessed?
The learning outcomes are assessed by a variety of task based assessment, observation of practical tasks, oral questioning and
on-line assessments.
Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the course?
On successful completion of this course you will be awarded IMI Level 1 Diploma in Automotive Body Repair
What will I be able to go on to do after I've completed this course?
On successful completion of the course you can progress onto a level 2 Diploma in Vehicle paint Operations or Body repair Operations.
What are the career opportunities?
On successful completion of your course you could follow a career in the motor industry as a body repairer or paint refinisher
