The practical modules covered include:
- Advanced braking systems
- Advanced engine mechanical systems

- Advanced vehicle electrical systems

The assessment day consists of five one hour practical assessments and an online test.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

The minimum entry requirement is three years' industrial experience or a Level 3 S/NVQ (or equivalent qualification) plus at least one year's experience in a relevant industrial environment. Applicants need to be working in the industry in order to undertake this course.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the irtec Advanced Technician Training and Assessment course?

On successful completion of the assessment, you will be awarded an irtec Advanced Technician Licence, which is valid for five years and you will be entered onto the irtec register of accredited technicians.
