This qualification is deigned to engage and motivate 14-19 year olds who are interested in learning about the maintenance of motor vehicles and the various roles that are available in the retail motor industry.

What qualifications do I need to do this course?
No formal qualifications are required; however, you will need a positive attitude, commitment and self-motivation. The course is designed for school leavers who are able to work at a level that is equivalent to GCSE grades D-F.
How is the course assessed?
The learning outcomes are assessed by a variety of task based assessment, observation of practical tasks, oral questioning and
on-line assessments.
Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the course?
On successful completion of this course you will be award a Level 1 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance.
What will I be able to go on to do after I've completed this course?
On successful completion of the course you can progress onto a Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and repair or Vehicle Paint and Body operations.
What are the career opportunities?
On successful completion of this course you could follow a career in the Motor Industry as a light vehicle technician or Paint/ Body repairer
